>welcome to the jungle
>paradise city
>sweet child of mine

How is the world not tired of these fucking songs already? They still play them on the radio all the time, in the media, every sporting event you'll hear Welcome To The Jungle to build le tension, etc... Not saying they're bad or weren't talent but at this point they're pretty much boomer anthems and remind me the worst aspects of them. The latter two also last for two minutes too long because the band is jerking themselves off with solos

But then again would you rather they played Billie Eilish at sporting events?

its not the songs, radio itself is the problem. its just a vehicle for ads like all other media. people need background noise while driving or at work, they flip it on and get something they more or less want to hear. they play ads between songs, and you go buy the new menu item from burger merchant.

if you want to get away from these songs, stop listening to broadcast radio. there's really no excuse to be mad at radio as it is anymore.
i agree their playlists need a massive shakeup, but by and large, most stations would likely drive away listeners by playing new, unknown artists/songs.

I do change the station but the point is that they still get played all the time, which is why I ask how are people not tired after hearing them thousands of times already?

I agree that this has gotten worse recently. At least where I am, you've got the classic rock station, the rock station, JackFM which plays stuff from both of the previous two, and then a handful of other stations that play basically the same stuff too.
i think radio has been going for so long, they've perfected the formula to keep tards a-listenin', and being the expected revenue streams for their ad departments. it'll probably change as more olds die off, but for now, i'd say get your music elsewhere
