I generally don't like hair metal songs that just have 50's rock n roll standard chord progressions. Like Smokin' in the Boys Room for example (I know it's a cover).

This must've sounded horrific live. The fact that they tripled the vocal track of his weak falsetto at the start tells me whoever produced this knew his vocals sucked.

I didn't think this was all that terrible, mostly just generic and very overproduced. That's the problem with hair bands in general, they needed to be more rough-around-the-edges.

I know CF was going for a "hit" here, but it barely qualifies as a hair metal song. Tom doesn't even attempt singing.
Best example other than Smokin' in the Boys Room is Faster Pussycat 's Bathroom Wall, especially the verses. And Bad Boys (Of Rock 'N' Roll) by Twisted Sister. They sound extremely standard to me.
>>127671582 >I don’t hate it but it is funny that it’s probably not even in the top half of songs on Hysteria
the other songs on hysteria didn't really catch me.

they didnt stick with me as much. I guess I'll check them out again eventually
Most def leppard songs don't really stick with me, but there's stuff from Def Leppard's earlier albums I liked. Off the top of my head:
Bringin’ On the Heartbreak
Rock of Ages
Die Hard the Hunter
Answer to the Master.
