It sounds like 311 fronted by aliens, I would've liked to see them because this is a decent live record but it's not this life altering masterpiece like people say.

honestly, it's both
something being japanese unironically makes you see it with better looks
there's just something about Japan that makes things more mystical and makes you enjoy it more

Long Season and their other albums are generally decent, but this shit is massively overrated by rymtroons.

it's a masterpiece but fishmans gained a cult following partially because they are a wacky japanese indie band

The one thing in music that Japan did better than everyone else is Noise with Keiji Haino, Eye, Mizutani and the bands they influenced.

I was into it until that one super long song that sounded like a dripping toilet came on stage to do a solo

i'm probably biased since i listen to japanese music quite a lot (and am generally a weeb) but i feel like the language barrier can make it easier to appreciate the actual music and not just the words that are sung. lyrics and music are seperate things, and the lyrics don't actually change anything about the theory of the song, thats in the tone of the voice and things.
i haven't listened to much fishmans but i love long season and weather report, their songs are very interesting and worth listening to for any music fan in my opinion! the whole 42 minutes of it are worth it!
