Your opinion of music is worthless if you're not a musician

why? most musicians i know value having a source of income, so they also value the opinions of their audience?

Commercial viability is not the same as subjective opinion of art which is what people do when they talk about music opinions or tastes.

And most working musicians are not doing anything creative, they're playing what someone else is telling them to play.

Do non-musicians appreciate different cymbals, drums, guitar picks+strings, amplifiers, speakers, cables, fx units?
