Its hard to describe but something about the band seems kinda fake. I still like the music but I wouldn't go out of my way to see them live. From the live videos I've seen the vocalist sounds like shit.

Why was he even opening for SHM? Its a complete mismatch. Sounds like the same shit I noticed when Grimes did a set at a festival before Diplo, Major Lazer and Skrillex in like 2012. Just not the crowd for their music at all.

He obviously knew what he was doing. This is a calculated publicity. He absolutely could have played lighter, more pop friendly music (I've seen him DJ before, it wasn't all abrasive industrial). He obviously chose to piss off the normies for some free press... Honestly this feels a bit cheap.

For me it's just the insanely compressed and harsh, but somehow clean-sounding, production - there's clearly some good ideas in there that would shine if it was produced more organically, with a bit rougher and dirtier feel to it.
