thanks, you too, seems like we both like the same kind of music, do you have any recs? i think you'd like Starflyer 59's catalog and, maybe, Highspire's “Aquatic”.
i left out a few noise albums i like too so, yeah, long live whitehouse
You might like Rare Monk - Sleep/Attack >>127727379 >Royal Blood, Linkin Park >Godflesh
I've been going down the sludge rabbit hole pretty hard but it just hasnt clicked
>>127727417
yeah, for sure check out Turning Into Small by All Natural Lemon and Lime Flavors, and In Stereo by Nemo
i do listen to some noise rock, mostly Sonic Youth and Unwound
>>127727194
I should check out XXX, listened to Atrocity Exhibition yesterday and that was pretty cool. >>127727379
It's super close between Meteora and Hybrid Theory for me, I think I like Meteora more overall but Hybrid Theory has such a unique sound to it.

Are last few Parannour releases any good? I remember liking the one album on your chart, but never really tried listening any more of his stuff. >>127727347
Just overall a very solid 3x3. >>127727428
Nice Sabbath pick, anon.
666 is damn good too. >>127728258
+Nick Drake
I have no idea what that giraffe album is, but I like the cover. Might check it out just because of it. >>127728938
+GBV and Cardiacs.
>>127727015 (OP)
The talking heads' second and third albums are harder to listen to than their first and fourth.
I liked Daughters' grindcore mathcore stuff but you won't get what you asked for was dark and something else
>>127728938
Really? A friend also told me that it was really good, guess I have to try it sometime soon
>>127729115
Honestly I have only listened to “After the Magic” and it was mediocre at best in my opinion, it's like he tried really hard to appeal to a western audience and lost almost all his touch in the process. Since then I haven't listened to anything he has released
>>127730319
Thanks! :) Curious to know which 6 out of 9 you’re referring to
>>127731169 >Check out Hex by Bark Psychosis
I like Bark Psychosis, thanks anyway! You might want to check out "El jardín de los presentes" by Invisible if you don’t know it
>>127731803
All three Invisible albums are really good in their own way. I suggested El jardín de los presentes because, besides being the most popular of the three, it’s the most musically varied and has a more jazz-rock vibe, which was more in line with Anon’s tastes. It’s nice to see Spinetta & his bands getting some recognition here
>>127732144
I'm not a huge fan of Spinetta personally, couldn't get into Pescado Rabioso at all, but he achieved something special with Invisible. Prefer Charly and Serú, but I put both Durazno and El Jardín at the level of their best records (Piano Bar and La Grasa).
>>127732219
I feel something similar with Charly García’s bands. I really enjoy his solo work (especially his ’80s albums, from Clic modernos to Cómo conseguir chicas), but not so much the albums from his bands. I mean, they’re excellent records, but I don’t see myself going back to Serú Girán or La Máquina as often as I do with Spinetta
>>127732624
/mu/core at its finest, but don’t feel bad, they’re all great albums
>>127733373
Kinda agree with Máquina and Sui Géneris, but I do really like Serú Girán's original run, specially La Grasa which I think it's Charly's magnum opus.
Just some that come to mind, I consider lots of shit favorites >>127728938 >Autechre lost the plot after confield sadly, many such cases
I differ, they lost the plot after Exai >>127733532
MIlk and Kisses, best Cocteau Twins album besides Four Calendar, based
>>127734027 >I never got Candy Claws.
i get that, theyre super noisy, but its also just such a charming cute sound, its one of my favorites
they have another album called Two Airships/Exploder Falls that is good, but its also so noisy it made my ears hurt at the end
>>127735934
Among others is one beautiful album, most of proem's discography is made of some really cold yet comforting IDM tunes. https://youtu.be/0pzOvTFrHIk
>>127731704
The whole chart was 69/420. I didn't mean only 6 out of 9 were good. The whole chart looks like a nice 9 album run to listen to all the way through.
Kate bush does some celtic stuff on that album, with the bag pipes and stuff. It is like an experience.
>>127740443
Piano Bar is both better produced and more raw than Clics Modernos. Lorca has both the titletrack and Driftin' which are better than any songs on Starsailor, but I agree that it's his best in terms of vocal performances tho.
These threads always die because of lazyposting. Do better.
>>127733961 >>127734027 >Burial
Based. A friend of mine has a playlist for when he does acid and I associate Near Dark with some very interesting evenings.

Good choice. >>127746981 >Superunknown
Despite it being extremely loved I never listened to the album outside of Black Hole Sun >Elliot Smith
I still have to listen to him more, I heard some of his work off of a friend's playlist and was intrigued. Still never got around to it though.
>>127748150
Nice taste. What album would you suggest to people that want to get into Grouper? I tried to listen to "Dragging a Dead Deer..." but just couldn't connect to it.
>>127747904
i wish more gastr del sol work connected with me since i like a lot of jim's work and the band's influences
props to including hella's most underrated album though
>>127748855
Not them but have you ever listened to the Cocteau Twins? They have something for everyone. They changed their sound and style with nearly every album.
No order. I would've put Slaughter of the Soul here but that album cover sucks too much donkey balls. (Seriously, why did they ruin their magnum opus with such a shitty fucking cover?)
