im pretty sure if ariel spams fagtanos replies and @ all the critics with ai slop begging for attention a dozen more times its going to work
>>127793933 >ai generated part
I don't think he actually uses AI for the actual songs besides the "movie samples" on Anosognosia or the short monologue on One Last Lullaby.

I know Sky Ferreira, Mac DeMarco, James Ferraro, etc,etc all love his music and still support him in private but can't publicly acknowledge it because he makes like a career ending statement on twitter every other week. He is so fucking hated in indie music circles too.

wrong, title track probably has heavier ai use. it has a kingcon credit and sounds like a better take on something like ariels not abducted with actual thought and effort. it has veeeery simillar timbre >>127794847
emphesis on semi, he was probably high, drunk and generally mad since maus featured in a tweet with half a million views
>>127795241
What do you mean by “career ending statement” and give some examples? To make good music you have to parrot everything the little Brooklyn cult says?
>>127795467 >you have to parrot everything the little Brooklyn cult says?
Yeah basically you have to play along with these liberal arts major Substack writers if you want to get into the club. Not saying I like it but that's how it is. They're never going to make an exception for him.

He got “cancelled” for supporting Trump and going to a protest (not the capitol even though whogaf). Also some butthurt ex of his bitched to the woke internet media. Mexican Summer label betrayed him and he was in no man’s land for a long time. Even Julian Casablancas tried to help him but his label wouldn’t allow a collab.
This year he started dating some young hot “Nazi” chick and it seems to have reinvigorated him because he just dropped a 10.0 BNM heater. But the leftist music media is pretending he doesn’t exist because he violated their crypto-communist code.
If anyone is interested, here’s an excerpt from Mac’s Tape Op interview when he discusses Ariel inspiring him. Ariel is truly the OG of that whole chillwave, hypnogogic, bedroom lofi indie genre.

I'm listening on BC & YT, not gonna listen to it in full till I have a hardcopy. But yeah, from the 5 songs I've heard this is the real good stuff, return to form and yet there is exploration. Ariel's a master at setting the atmosphere, you're engulfed, kek, again I've only heard 5 tracks off this thing
This album definitely got the we're back but never left feel

Awe yeah I believe it, I came into that track you're referring to, threw me out of orbit, had to stop it, I'm holding back. I wanna treat this album like an album after hearing the singles, and the other 3 tracks. I wanna throw this thing on the turntable and headphones listen, yaknowwhatimean. You guys aren't making this easy, bout to filter all Ariel Pink threads till I hear the record on my comfy terms. From what I heard and gather, this is something special. That we are so back energy, echo OP >>127793204 (OP)

This guy is acting like he's at the end of his life while a guy more than ten years older than him is releasing albums fresher and more energetic than anything he did even at his peak (which I didn't think I'd end up calling his peak at the time by the way.) He's somehow the most JUST musician I've ever seen with there being not really anything to make him JUST. It's really strange, like there's something only her knows that has - for a lack of better words - destroyed him. Because, boy does he seem destroyed.

I wonder if it stems from guilt or fear about his past. Mac also went through a brief “cancellation” moment: IE John Lent and Alex Calder. Seems like he is in the musical sunken place. He also quit drinking which maybe didn’t help
>>127793473
none of the above honestly as it goes against their script. don't forget that (((they))) tried to systematically dismantle the hypnogogic pop movement

Little Tweety Dum got her first guitar
I taught her all she knows and she will go far
But no with any bros, hoes, or hipster chodes
She got a pocketful of promises
Halfpreparedatbest, though thebest by far
Shedoesn't have to train just to be a star
Works out and does yoga and prays to Baal
She got a pocketful of promises

Well this is the first proper LP in 8 years so I’m not sure what “new stuff” trend you’re referring to. The truly lofi era ended 20 years ago or more

All awesome tracks - but Off the Dome grew on me so quickly. On my first listen it sounded pretty unassuming but it's my most played on the album now.
Also love Entertainment. I can feel the keyboards in my bones.
