I've been trying to convey with words this strange feeling of 'comfort in solitude'' I have sometimes. This album is the one who best evokes this energy.

Never listened to it but I just can't imagine an album this obscure is the greatest of all time. Radiohead's OK Computer is a strong contender.

No one who isn't an enthusiastic music fan knows about this album, to the general public it is obscure

Its weird, this stuff was like the 1 new sounding thing at the time so it just instantly maxed out its potential for influence. I think when people listen for the first time now it sounds boring because theyve already heard the clones.

I like it. Has the vibes of walking through a rainy city at night, hearing music around you that you can't quite make out. Best record of this century though? Even considering only electronic albums, it'd be up against Cross and Discovery.

It's good, really good. But best record of the century? No. Chemical Brothers easily beats it on We Are The Night with tracks like Saturate and if you want cynical bongcore IDLES CRAWLER mogs it too with MTTR 420 RR and PROGRESS. If you want to be an orientalist then you have Ken Ishii line of records like Jelly Tones because techno cannot get more fucking smooth than Extra.

Or if you want to be really pretentious, Oval. If you're an Aphex fag you are indebted to that guy for half the samples Richard uses from him alone.
