How do singers do screaming vocals without destroying their voices?

learning techniques that don't destroy their voice. what did you think the answer was anon? although sometimes they just don't

It's a gutteral technique. I always compare it to how you would copy a dog barking or how you let out an extremely exhausted sigh. All the pressure and strain is concentrated mostly in the diaphragm if you're doing it correctly

most of them do. even ones who do it "safely" have some deterioration over time.

Isn't that true for all singing though?

Actual high-pitched screming destroys your vocal cords and there's no preventing it. Shouting or growling ages way better.

This is such horseshit that I can't belive people keep spouting this stuff. Ive never heard of any 'secret technique' that they use. It's just survivorship bias and some won't blow their voice while others do.

They practice until they find a technic that doesn’t hurt and sounds ok. From there they kinda just hope it lasts.

When it's worth it though, it's okay to do it.

You're a fucking dumbass. There are plenty of techniques that teach you how to do it properly.
