Being a musician is grim in 2025

now you know the reason for the Brat shilling.

Who cares if she got dropped. She could've just released music independently as she already has a fanbase for it.

But what if her next album flops like the others did?

why is it grim? if you sign a contract under certain stipulations, and don't meet them, why would you be rewarded for that? it's on you to know what you're agreeing to in that situation. don't want to play that game? don't sign to a label, give it a go independently. don't want to go through those potential hardships? then don't do it at all. why would/should it be easy getting super rich and famous?

then that's her problem. She's been around for a long time and she should be happy with the career she's had. Everybody falls off eventually and she's getting older so I don't see her going on much longer.

Well, they are spending A LOT of money on this bitch, marketing is everything for a popstar.
I hate big corporations, streaming platforms, and big labels too, but it's a little bit hypocritical coming from a popstar to criticize those who spend lots of money on publicity, commercials, and mass media marketing to make you successful.
Remember, success is not something you achieve; it's something you buy. It's not meritocracy. She's not particularly talented, she's not a great singer, dancer, and she's not super pretty either. Each song has like 20 producers and 3 collaborations, so yeah, you better make good money, that's the deal
It's different with indie artists, though; they should definitely get better deals

All she has to do is release XCX World when she's flagging and she'll be shilled everywhere again, she has a ready-made audience for it just based on the hype/mystique alone

Where is the musician in this photo?

well she might not have to wait long, Charli operates in one way and that's releasing a flop immediately after her most critically acclaimed stuff, also she has this inherent streak of self-sabotage by working with AG Cook to make her most lauded stuff only to dump the dude in favor of traditional pop producers for her flop album
