RIP /bleep/
the electronic underground has never been less exciting than it is now. since its inception, it's been reliably forward-looking; a constant source of inspiration.
but over the last decade it's characterised almost entirely by nostalgic indulgence. it has nothing interesting left to say.

i've lost my taste for the nightlife.

you cant escape the cultural apocalypse. it doesn’t matter if you’re into bleep or string music, or if youre into cinema or the visual arts or anything else.
social media brought everyone onto the internet and concentrated them onto the same handful of sites which were then sanitised and homogenised by the megacorps. there are no venues for niche cultural exchange and the flourishing of new ideas. nothing will change until people lose interest in mass social media, if that ever happens.
