Gen Z range starts at around 1995-97 according to google. I was personally around 8 when he died and for the longest time I was under the assumption that MJ was just a bunch of different guys sharing a public persona because I couldn't comprehend any other explanation for how one person could go through several physical transformations like he did. My only exposure to him up until that point was all the radio hits, the thriller and smooth criminal videos, and the grotesque looking white guy who sometimes showed up on TV. So you could imagine my confusion when everyone started treating all those "actors" as the same person when all the eulogies started.
