She was a once-in-a-generation genius who made one of the greatest albums of the 2010s, but she fucked it all up by choosing to be a side character in someone else's story (Elon's), who'd vampirically drain her of her light and discard her. Was it worth it? Did she even get a smidgen of the obscene wealth she thought she was promised? Wealth is mostly good, I think, but there are some rare instances when it can irreversibly corrupt people. Grimes' talent was priceless but she willingly gave it away. And now she's trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube. It's too late. She can't go back to being the pure, bushy-browed, wide-eyed artist she used to be. She's a tainted, corrupted, bootlegged version of her past self.
