It's arguably Yes' best work. I love the album, but I personally like Fragile better.

great album without a doubt. The real challenge is listing the songs in order of best to good

Mine is:
1. And You And I
2. Close to the Edge
3. Siberian Khatru

i like Fragile a lot too, but CTTE feels more like a complete idea. But i also think from an objective standpoint Relayer is better than both of them. I do have a strong bias towards To Be Over tho, specifically for its ending

Yes, It's probably the only album that I think is flawless from beginning to end.

Honestly i cant find a complaint other than it feels too short, but thats just because i wish Yes' Prog Era went for even longer

Yeah I love it!! Had it on my car for like 3 years straight. I listened the heck out of it. My favorite part is the organ interlude in "Close to the edge"

I really want a black shirt with a green gradient coming from the bottom like this but I've never seen one except on brazilian sites of questionable quality.

you could probably do this in about 5 minutes with an airbrush or something honestly,

just go make friends with a mexican and carry an "enough to pay, not enough to warrant getting mugged" amount of money on you
Anonymous No.128126243 [Report] >>128126303
and you and I used to be my favorite track, but then I got really into the Total Mass Retain section of the title track and suddenly that was my favorite song and of course naturally I decided Siberian Khatru was the coolest they ever sounded so each track has something special in it. I do think its kinda silly to call it a perfect album because its just 3 long songs which kinda puts it at a massive advantage. I'd probably call Animals by Pink Floyd a perfect album for the same reason

I dont WANT to say its a perfect album because its only 3 songs, but when 3 amazing songs are staring you in the face youre kinda fucked

Just wear oxfords like a grown-up. If you're doing some intense work or just want to dress casually, a white or black t-shirt is fine. Band shirts are cringe.

Like? I think it's the greatest album of all time. Is it tacky and cliché to say that about an album from a relatively popular band like Yes? Maybe. But that doesn't change that this album is pretty much flawless front to back, a beautiful musical journey.

if it makes you feel better i dont think anyone below the age of 27 knows who Yes is outside of funny JOJO references. So youre still obscure enough to be cool.

I sampled this album and made some dope ass beats with it like 10 years ago. It's a gold mine for samples.

CTTE is definitely their peak, I think they captured that energy again a few times later the one that specifically comes to mind is Tales From Topographic Oceans which is definitely a bunch of forced 20 minute songs but Nous Sommes Du Soleil has some really good parts specifically
>Hold me my love, hold me today, call me round
>Travel we say, wander we choose, love tune
>Lay upon me, hold me around lasting hours
>We love when we play
absolutely beautiful like the best parts of And You and I. Also Bill Bruford was truly a secret weapon proof being he was on both Yes and King Crimsons best albums

Its one of those albums I remember vividly the first time I heard it. I loved old Genesis and Crimson but knew literally nothing about early Yes, so when I heard this it blew my head off.

I remember one time a few years later I was in a band and we were driving to a show and I made them listen to it. I was the only one of them not "degree in music" and none of them got it, which I found really hilarious.

Decent album, although I've always found Yes a little busy sounding in spots. Howes guitar tone has always been shrill dogshit and Wetton was a better bass player than Chris

Interesting attempt at making a concerto in rock-form. But not really anything special

i was always surprised by how underrated siberian khatru seemed to be relative to the other 2, its like the sounds of 6 different eras of talking heads albums in a 12 minute ride

It's the only good Yes album.
Roundabout is full of filler but has great tracks.
Siberian K is the best song on the album and they should have added the America cover.

Siberian Khatru was my favorite track when I first heard the album. I was 14. After countless listens, Close to the Edge is perfect and I am always down to listen to it. And You and I is perfect, but I need to be in the mood for it. Siberian Khatru is meh.
