I JUST LOVED THIS ALBUM!!!

Can’t believe I discovered Pink Floyd in 2025.

The crossfading between tracks isn’t just for show, it actually serves a purpose.

The lyrics are meaningful and deep.

Pink Floyd suck so much, I got recommended this shit album because I like Planet Caravan by Black Sabbath, never been more dissappointed by a recommendation. Fuck Pink Floyd.

No PF album is as great as DS.
The only issue on the album is the ending of time, where the lyrics are "calls the faithful to their knees to hear the softly spoken magic spells". Congregational worship of Christ is not just meaningless magic spells, it is a deeply serious liturgy. We are not invoking Satan or his minions, we are worshipping Christ through the words of his Gospel.
If you had this in mind, then I can see why you'd rank other albums higher, but ignoring this blip, DS is a perfect album.

Close to the edge - yes

it's not exactly the same but kinda similar in a few ways, although instead of being crossfaded it's just 3 really long songs
