20 years later and I still listen to it all the time.
Is it corny to say it changed my life? I mean it’s so mainstream I still hear Sugar We’re Goin Down on the radio, does that “cheapen” it?

Idk you can just call me nigger this board is dead anyway

No, if it did then that’s just a fact. Enjoy what you enjoy anon. Glad it helped you.

anon, if you make the claim that ANY song or album or band 'changed your life' you are indeed being corny lol
fall out boys are fine tho, some good songs but i would not listen to a full album nor say that it's that good
we got MCR for that

I guess that’s melodramatic, I just mean ever since it came out I’ve listened to it during all sorts of periods of my life so even when I listen to it “neutrally” it comes with a lot of reflection.

It’s such a popular album so I know millions of others feeling the same way about it, and I was wondering if that even means anything, but then again I’m asking 4chan this lmao

of course it means something, we all have emotional attachment to music we listened as kids, even psychopaths
sharing such feelings is fine, feel free to discuss said music it is a music board after all :)

Folie à Deux

Folie was the logical conclusion of pop-punk/emo-pop. But FOB's first 4 albums are all 10/10

THIS HAS BEEN SAID SO MANY TIMES THAT I'M NOT SURE IF IT MATTERS

It's not the logical conclusion to anything. FOB stopped being listenable after Infinity

but was it Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year?

you're a retard if you think Folie isn't a masterpiece.

A little, but not too much. Their music has tons of real feels and they came from real punk scenes, so that makes their music feel miles more authentic than the slop "punk" artists produce today (Olivia Rodrigo, kek).

Every album of theirs before hiatus is good, even Evening Out With Your Girlfriend.

Dance Dance is fucking heat man they were going off, how old were you when the album came out? I was about 10 so it was fun but not life altering

Save Rock & Roll had a couple alright songs like The Phoenix and Where Did The Party Go, and I unironically like So Much For Stardust

I'm not gonna sit here and try to defend American Beauty/American Psycho or Mania though, the Munsters song is fucking annoying

Save rnr would face been great if they didn't over-produce it to the point where everything sounded like a synth/sample. Hopefully one day in the future they'll remaster the tracks to sound more "real"
