comparatively, metal is having more great releases per year than every other genre.

This year sucks but 2024 was one of the best years for metal since the 80s.

Metal is eternal. It's never not a golden age.
But really I wonder who would say we're living in a golden age now instead of some other time in history. It's maybe bias due to past (ancient even) releases being legendary and their influence carrying on today. I don't see a time when metal sucked big deal, even the nu metal cringe era had some boppers.
