/mu/ used to hate the beatles before 2016, it was highly frowned upon to even make a beatles thread. you aren't special with this take
Status Quo dropping their drummer just before they broke through. I couldn't do that to anybody. And do you know what they said? Because he drank. I couldn't have done that to him at all, or if I did I'd have said we'll see you sorted for life, which I don't think they did.
Not hate or can't stand, but that's pretty jaw dropping to me.
dogshit movie, dogshit music, dogshit singing
almost makes me look wistfully back on the days when frozen's soundtrack was fucking inescapable to the point of inducing immediate nausea when i hear those opening piano notes to that goddam elsa song

Edginess is inherent to 4chan, that doesn't mean they were right, the Beatles are good, it's just John Lennon and his communist propaganda that makes people think they're all like that.
I'm not saying they were hacks or that they didn't have good songs. But holy shit the worship they get from boomers is insane. Easily the most overrated band of all time.
They were incredibly derivative had little originality; their songwriting skills were okay at best; every time they tried going into genres other than blues and hard rock it was just embarrassing; and only two of the four members (Page and JPJ) were truly talented. Plant's voice starting going to shit after their first album, and Bonham's whole schtick is playing drums... BUT LE LOUD. Moreover, they were the biggest inspiration for glam metal, a crime worth the death penalty.
But that's not even the reason I hate them. The worst thing about Led Zeppelin is that they have the most obnoxious fanboys in rock music, maybe in all of popular music. They are even worse than Queen fans. Though it is funny watching them get bent out of shape over the plagiarism accusations. >Inb4 zoomer...
I listen to a ton of 60s and 70s music, more than any other decades. Led Zeppelin ain't even in the top 10 man.

If you ever listen to something that sounds like jazz but it's not pretentious bullshit, then that's probably traditional jazz, like Dixieland or New Orleans jazz. Think of them as ragtime but played by a band instead of a pianist, since jazz comes from it.

Thinking glam metal is bad is so retard coded, what are we in the 80s again? Don't you also feel like grabbing a guitar and playing jangle chords over sad lyrics? Kurt wanna-be ass.
>>128215587 >But holy shit the worship they get from boomers is insane. Easily the most overrated band of all time.
You are wrong. They are legit that good. I didn't listen to them in like 20 years then I did it again and yeah they hold up. I'm not even a boomer but I was introduced to Led Zep by my dad when I was a teen. For the 60s-70s they are the standard about how a Rock Band should be. Today the standards are higher though another guitarist is needed. Sometimes 3 are needed depends on what type of music you make. Also the current Robert Plant's folk band aint bad at all.

I'm a 22 year old guy and I listen to it lol and I have yet to see a single woman listening to glam metal in 2025, unless you're speaking based on some study, though I'm sure you're not
>>128215587 >Well, as a band, I felt they're aptly named. It never took off for me musically. I love Jimmy Page, but as a band, no, with John Bonham thundering down the highway in an uncontrolled 18-wheeler. He had cornered the market there. Jimmy is a brilliant player. But I always felt there was something a little hollow about it, you know? To me, Led Zeppelin is Jimmy Page if you wanna cut the story short.

??? What are you talking about, first of all Bon Jovi stopped doing glam in the early 90s, second, GnR never did glam metal, and third and most important, literally everyone loves those two, I haven't met anyone who doesn't like at least one of their songs, even if they don't listen to them constantly.

I dunno i have a lot of deep seated issues with women that go back at least two and a half decades. Its about as fun as getting a root canal imo.
>>128216144
So what song from them is glam? Paradise city? No. Welcome to the jungle? Absolutely not. Sweet child of mine? Also not. Maybe you know more songs than I do but the ones I know (not those three only btw) are not glam metal.
>>128215587 >I listen to a ton of 60s and 70s music, more than any other decades. Led Zeppelin ain't even in the top 10 man.
Who are in your top 10 then? >>128216012
Yep. They have one really good song (Under the Bridge), a couple of decent ones and the rest mostly goes in one ear and out the other. >>128215862 >>128215900 >first of all Bon Jovi stopped doing glam in the early 90s
Correct >second, GnR never did glam metal
Wrong
They were 100% part of the glam metal scene, on the bluesier part of it for sure, but still undeniably glam metal.

anything with niggers, i hate niggers, niggers can't make music, niggers get too much praise, stop letting niggers use white man instruments, and let's not forget jews letting niggers be anyone, fuck niggers
>>128216688
The only glam part about GnR is Axl, but he's just hot, that doesn't mean the whole band is glam metal, glam metal has a specific sound that GnR simply doesn't have (for the most part)
>>128215587
oh no no not at all if you listen to enough 70s albums you'll see why they do get the praise they do. hint: try making actually consistently good albums all the way through instead of 2 good songs and a bunch of filler (looking at you, Yes and Blue Oyster Cult). not everyone could do that.
>>128219558
Check out early rap, it's not that bad, it's mostly just funk samples with rap over it, the good thing is that there's almost no swearing so they don't let their negro ghettohood out
Rap really went to pot in the late 90s when sampling died out and became a gangsta monoculture, and all 21st century rap developments are an ever increasingly level of fail and cringe.
>>128219638 >try making actually consistently good albums all the way through instead of 2 good songs and a bunch of filler
Led Zeppelin didn’t do this though. In fact, they represent the “two good songs” band to a tee. The only reason anyone gives a damn about IV is because of Stairway. The average rock music fan probably can’t name a single song on Physical Graffiti that isn’t Kashmir
>>128215884
every alt girl i was trying to fuck in highschool and college really liked them because they were against the man and stuff. like free abortions for everyone yk? fuck riot grrrl
>>128219639
no I do think will smith really let his negro out on get jiggy with it >>128219928
er uhm it's the lowest tee on the shirt rack at hot topic.
