I personally like American Idiot and it's the only GD song I ever listened to, but I really couldn't give 2 fucks about whatever it's talking about

pretty much every song because music is a young person's game. you're either getting the brunt of a 22 year old's (or older because famous musicians have peter pan syndrome) internal therapy session or 3 paragraphs written jaded producers writing for a general radio audience.

Rare case of a 10/10 album with an actually decent message. Going back to OP, I disagree with any nazi messages in music, but there are lots of good nazi bands, like Peste Noire.

If I disagree with the message I won’t like the song and I won’t want to listen to it. This doesn’t make it bad music

It doesn't do anything actually world changing. It isn't good or bad. This album is 20 years old. You're still in the same position as he was. Powerless. You have nothing. It didn't do a thing other than be entertainment. All of it is entertainment. I like a lot of shit out there musically speaking, but it's just music. Billy Hoe is probably the most pathetic of Gen X because he acts like a real boomer. Like a hippy who's making waves when he never did shit. Eddie Vedder is another.

I didn't write American Idiot. Go complain to Green Day if you got a problem with it. All political music is seeking influence and power. That has fuckall to do with me. I'm just pointing out that it's pointless. It's just music. None of this effects anyone in their daily lives. Even the people who love it just forget about it the next day.
