Good morning, lads! My progress so far (only talking about records I've listened to for the first time):
>Aryan Art
Preddy gud, but not outstanding. Will take some more time to listen to their disco this November.
>Gauntlet's Sword
Even with all the innovations in Black Metal over the decades, this to me is the quintessential black metal sound. Raw and fast.
>Goatmoon
The first time I heard about Goatmoon was during an old nbbmn where an anon posted two dudes in the forest with axes standing in front of a hairy naked woman laying on an altar (?). Because of that I always thought they were a meme band and never bothered to listen to them, but seeing this record on the listening chart of another anon, I gave it a try. It really surprised me and it will def. find it's way into my regular listening rotation.
>Eagle's Nest
Didn't quite feel it. I'm not really good at understanding music, but I think they try to mix in heavy metal melodies when they actually should mix in power metal melodies instead. Inclined to give it a re-listen tho.
>Monarque
There was an anon yesterday angry at the Quebec chart I've shared and he dropped a couple of bands and calling the chart worthless. Holy shit, those were some solid recs. Monarque fucking rips.
>Chasse-Galerie
Also a rec from the quebec anon. The fifth track (La Patrie des Sans Âme) gave me an outer body experience and after it finished I screamed INHERENTLY and immediately pressed repeat.

>Kaevum - Ultra
I'm very much out of the loop and only learned yesterday that Kaevum dropped a new album this year. I was not totally disappointed, but still don't know how I feel about the record. It somewhat lost me after the middle, but I will def. give it a re-listen.

Welcome back anon! What do you think of As the Wolves Gather?

Thanks for the QRD anon. I was a bit confused when this year started, but that makes a lot of sense.
