Apparently Yelyah Williams hasn't learned to read sheet music from the information i could find using Grok.

If Hayley sees this she should learn

Well many musicans that been in the business for more than 25 years and that even play keys can't. And I find that Amateurish and it holds back your potential a lot.

Hayley Williams needs to learn these sort of movements they are aesthetic af.

If you play Keys you ABSOLUTELY must learn. Or what you gonna train your whole life with MIDI + Synthesia?

I refuse to learn diatonic notation. Irregular note spacing should not be written on regularly spaced lines. Use tabs instead and avoid this problem.

2bh even though I can use sheet music I don't think it's a great system. It's harder than it needs to be. Does it hold back potential? Not necessarily. Why? Prove it.

here you go a Waltz progression, its hard tho but it has goth kino aesthetics

Because learning classical music makes you skilled as fuck and most classical music is in sheet notation. Besides you can learn at your on phase reading it. Instead of having to stop the video or stop the game (if you use Synthesia)

You non-sheet readers are held back a fuck ton.

Standard Western sheet music notation is only good if you're writing diatonic music in C major. For every other music it's is an ugly hack. You could use a chromatic staff, which is less bad, but then you lose the information on finger positions. Tabs really are the best notation.

I'm the OP too I'm just pointing otu the fact that there is Professional career long Musicans that play Keys out there that never learned to read music. Cringe! This has to change NOW!

This is worse than Anthony Fantano being a music reviewer but he doesn't know how to play a single instrument or sing. Buck Broken!

It’s strange for me because where I went to school we started reading music around 7yrs old and then in secondary/high school we could take music as a subject and continue with that. I never really understood why you wouldn’t do music at high school if you were already playing music, like then you’re getting the theory as well as the practical

some people just skip the basics, unironically if you dont know almost anything about keys just buy >>128362675 something like that. No shame on having that around. Learning to read Sheet Music is essential for a piano player.
