Its not about the physical nature of stomp-clap-hey, its about the stomp-clap-hey in your soul.

I knew an American singer songwriter guy when I was living in London during the height of stomp-cap-hey'ing. He wrote what was essentially the stereotype of the genre and had moderate local success.
I had written a song that we were supposed to work on together, but he was flaky as fuck and it never amounted to anything. It wasn't a stomp clap song, but it was close enough in style that it'd work for him. I was in talks with his band too, teaching them how to play it and stuff like that.

I fucking hated that style and music at the time, but it was during the best time of my life, so I'm weirdly sentimental about it even though I never listen to it.
