peugeot LU01
>peugeot is selling brand new steel framed fixies, can be found under 500 euros
what the fuck? it kinda slaps frfr
Anonymous No.2050595 [Report]
It's a Hi-Ten steel frame and fork with no-name parts and weighs over 11kg. So the same quality level as all those generic fixies, but you pay 200€ more for the name and styling.
Also:
>36/18 gearing
What the fuck were they thinking? That's unusably low on the road and gives you 1 (one) skid patch.

500€
for a steel framed bike
with generic components
not even a deraileur
EC headset
>it kinda slaps
why are people always that deranged when it comes to understanding the value or peice of bicycles
Anonymous No.2050598 [Report]
Peugeot has enough nostalgia hipster appeal that they could have made it from tange prestige or something and charged an extra $500 and hipsters would have lapped it up

But this is too expensive for casuals and too shitty for people who like bikes, I don't see this going anywhere
Anonymous No.2050600 [Report] >>2050601
why are the tubes so fat
this is disgusting fixie fags will eat literal dogshit and tell their friends about it
if you are going to get a shitty fixie get a state or mercier and then its at least 300

And if you want a fixed gear that's actually good, you'll have to start with a 900€+ frameset and build it up from there. You're paying as much or more than for a geared road bike of the same quality level.
All the big manufacturers have pulled out of the niche when the hype was gone, and low production numbers lead to higher price, there's no way around that.

or a 80s road bike for 100 and write NJS on it with red crayon

>fake welded on lugging

A 1995 Kona Kileau with rigid forks weighs a pound less and that is an actual mountain bike. kek.

worst part is that it isnt even. The lugs are investment cast and its plainly lugged. The lug just looks so ugly with all the slampigesque thick shit that you're mistaking it for a bad weld in OPs pic.
Literally just your average continuation of the crime against humanity that the bicycle industry is.
But I meam hey: They're not even ripping off the young players but only the insufferable and braindead hipsters. I'm fine with that.

idk shit about these hipster bikes, why are the brakes near the steam instead of above the drops?
Anonymous No.2053151 [Report]
>>2053148
Because the kinds of people who buy those bikes won't use the drops, their hands will always be on top of the bars
