You're going to need a police report for any kind of legal action, so yeah. Police. Yes, I know, "police can only make a bad situation worse". They may ignore you or tell you to fuck off or they may put false info in the report or they may figure out a way to twist it and make it your fault. Those are the risks.

But if the injury is documented you're more likely to get a helpful personal injury lawyer. If you have a camera that can help. If there's CCTV nearby you could try to get the footage, but the police won't request it except if they think it exonerates the motorist, so you better hope you have a compelling story so the store owner is willing to help.

Those are the kinds of settlements you can expect for a permanent or long term disability btw, so don't go throwing yourself under the wheels of a car thinking it's a lottery ticket. Being disabled is likely far more expensive than the money you'll get.

Last time I got up went to the motorists driver door opened it, lost it a bit and called him a stupid motorist.
Guy was as gay as you'd expect from a motorist, wanted to get police and ambulance and what not involved. Told him no. Next thing he went full homo and asked me to have dinner with him.
I got the fuck out of there fast asf. That incident didn't bring about too much injury and it was one that took quite a wgile but seems to have healedcompletely by now, 8 months or so later.
Other injuries like AC joint, the other AC joint, hip, wrist and femur are a bit meh and I have lost faith in healing but guess what: The cager is an asshole. Who would have known.

I forgot to mention that part where a cager stopping a few cages behind that fag felt the need to get out and introduce himsdlf as an off duty cop who 'saw the whole thing'. What a wonderful day. Get run over and then confronted with a fag and a cop. I honestly prefer the good old hit and run over the fake sympathy. Also lots of my errands was ruined.
