Swedish law prohibits deportations of refugees specifically except in cases where the refugee has threatened national security or public order. Rape isn't spycraft or terrorism.

Which makes perfect sense. Sweden has a functional criminal justice system to punish criminals, foreign and domestic, and deporting someone to a country where they are a refugee from is going to be disproportionate to most if not all crimes. It only makes sense to reserve it for cases where they threaten the country itself.

Cold Take: Domestic rapists abroad staying in prison abroad and foreign rapists at home staying in prison at home is better than both groups of rapists being set free and sent home. Criminals belong in jail, not walking the streets of my country.
