it was the FIU pedestrian bridge in miami, the design was unusual but nothing new. the contractor fucked it up by building it on the ground and then moving it into place even though huge structural cracks were noticed before moving it. it collapsed as they were tightening the structural tension rods after they had moved it into position without actually shutting down traffic underneath which was a major artery. not even the first time they did this, it was the same contractor that had a parking garage collapse while under construction at miami dade college. the whole construction industry down there is corrupt as fuck, it's basically a 3rd world country but with more money.

They work exactly as intended. Chinese also use an enormous amount of oil in their cooking and waste a ton of food ingredients that are for decoration instead of eating, so it leads to a massive buildup of combustible gases in their sewer systems.
