>>28451332you just can't do your cool rally slides without good chassis rigidity, the car will roll over if you do that in a shitbox with decent power figures.
The unstableness you talk about is all at the tires; tires, suspension and axles play a role in that. The contrast is what makes them good at slides. hyperactive underbody parts with rigid upper body, this makes the drama limited to the wheels only and not get transferred up and upset most of the body. this helps the wheels to lose contact with the ground in minute degrees, all independently and that's what makes it easy to slide. This is also the reason why it's such a bad daily, you'll feel the ground at normal speeds.
by "twitchy" you mean tail happy then yes, awd needs help with cornering and rotating gracefully like a rwd shouldn't be expected here. If it wasn't twitchy it would just be VA sti, lazy and understeery at turns
I've gone way off the point from the ruby on rails remark but if you treat it like you treat your performance car on track, it will act like one but if you're gonna go hooligan on it, performance cars will let you know where and when and what and how exactly something happened, this thing just snaps past the threshold
