X is often an abbreviation for "cross". Its going to be a hybrid corvette crossover SUV. It'll look like a Urus but less ostentatious but somehow uglier. Kinda like the C8 is a Ferrari but uglier.

Who knows, maybe they will and it'll spurr Ford to make the Mach-E something better than a white suburban housewife mobile.

Sounds like the PacNW. In some parts of Dallas I've seen multiple Mach E's at a brunch place on a tuesday at 11am, or costco.

Ford will never make the Mock-E good. They've got too much pride in the Mustang. They could easily give it 800hp and do an 11 second quarter like every other EV SUV but they can't make it faster than the V8 GT.

Low IQ take. If they can convince the EPA the mustang and mach e are the same chassis, they could average out excellent MPG averages for quantity sold and keep insane V8's around for longer. Bring back the flat plane Voodoo because the Coyote simply cannot keep up with Hemi's or LS's. Dodge is bringing back a better Hemi, and releasing a 450hp Turbo I6. GM is investing $800mil developing their next V8 (likely nu-LS)

Also people who buy a Mustang isn't because of its overwhelming speed. Its a look, it sounds good, its the only V8 muscle car on sale right now, and its still relatively affordable for most.

The mach E wouldn't compete just as the Electric Challenger cannot compete with an ICE challenger when it comes out.

-no! You're stupid!
You're so dumb you've got a typo in your post and you didn't even bother to call me wrong. If Aston Martin can slap their badge on a Smart car for emissions averages, why not Ford using an EV with 200mpge or whatever rating they're using.

Aston Martin is not exactly the brand I would think of when coming up with examples of honor and pride. They've been floundering for 40 years and will do literally anything to make a buck. This is the same company who made a million dollar sedan and sold them exclusively in Dubai. Zero pride.

Shut up, fag. You're just upset they didn't change their logo on X to a rainbow.

An actually cool EV is probably the only way to get "enthusiasts" into EVs. 1400volt, some really powerful battery and motor, "accidentally" lock the computer behind an easy tuner wall to unlock another 100hp under the auspice of reliability or whatever. And stop letting gays design cars, they end up like formless blobs. If that happens appropriately disrupt the general styling.

This is an acceptable car shape under all the aero. The Mach E looks like every other stupid CUV on the road otherwise.

Yes but to their credit they are still making EV race cars, race car shit usually trickles down to Luxury and high performance cars after about 5 years, then about a decade later gets put into normal cars. So far the actual high performance EVs are Teslas for $110k, or $3mil super cars. If Ford could pull their head out of their asses and use some of that $12Billion of EV R&D and just give people a medium sized actually high performance car I think they could stand alone. Basically a muscle car EV but isn't gay trying to pretend to be something. Also don't make it weigh as much as OP's mom.

A $40 sports EV I think is palatable; the new Challenger got marked down to that price almost immediately but has somewhat polarizing looks and its like 9001lbs with a fake exhaust system, an interior from 2010, a reputation for being a melinated car, and Stellantis quality. Ford needs to tighten up on quality and recalls too though.

both ford and dodge made the same mistake: reuse an existing name to make an EV.
in fords case it was extremely ridiculous, because they called a bog standard cuv a fucking mustang. i don't know who was responsible for this idiocy, but i sincerely hope they lost their job and their self-respect.
but dodge fucked up almost as badly, by taking a brand name historically associated with big v8 high perf muscle cars and making it into a small sedan ev. with pretty meh perf too. the least they could do was to launch the fucker with 1500hp and dab on tesla and lucid. but nooooooo, it had to be a cuckmobile through and through. fucking idiots.

mercedes did a much better job of it with the g-glass. it looks basically identical to the gas powered counterpards, or at least can be specced that way.
ofc, they had to learn the hard way first, see eqs clusterfucks, but they did learn, and i expect to see loads of electric g wagens going around.
bimmer also did it well, with the i4/5/7s looking almost identical to the gas versions and doubtless selling well.

Maybe in places where ultra-wealthy live like LA, SF, Dallas, Miami, and NYC. Because you'd have to be a complete moron desperate to set fire to $300k on one.

obviously. im not expecting poor people to buy them, lol, they're like 200k or so

also obviously, i expect that approximately 99.9999% of them will be leases. nobody buys "mainstream" cars in that price bracket, only limited run collectibles like fefes/gt3s/maccas/etc.

The electric G-Class has been an incredible, incredible failure for Mercedes. Supposedly sales records are showing they literally haven't been able to sell a single one in the US, and barely a few dozen in China where they love EVs. Regardless, it's being outsold by the ICE G-Class by a longshot.
Mercedes is supposedly even delaying the unveiling of the "baby G-Class" since they're scrambling to toss a motor in it after seeing the failure of the EV G-Class.

It's here: 1250hp ZR1X
>What's astonishing is that the Corvette achieves all-wheel drive without any physical connection between the gas and electric powertrains. The front motor is powered by a battery system that forms a spine under the center of the ZR1X, and in this car, vs. the E-Ray, Chevy engineers have built a hybrid system that's endured for 24 hours of driving, while never fully discharging the battery. In other words, unlike some hybrid systems that wind up lugging the dead weight of a motor that cannot achieve full power, this system is designed to deliver all-wheel drive whenever it's needed, especially to enable the car to stick to the track and gun the ZR1X out of turns. The electric motor can deliver torque at up to 160 MPH.

>The front axle has the E-Ray's e-motor, but as with many other parts of the ZR1X, the electric propulsion has been improved. The battery has a gross capacity of 1.9 kWh, which is the same as the E-Ray. However, the usable energy has increased by 29 percent. This has allowed Chevy to raise the peak operating voltage and, as a result, the output. The ZR1X's front-drive motor is 186 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. This is an increase of 1000 rpm over the E-Ray (17,000 versus 16,000). The electric motor's power lasts longer, and the front axle now disengages at 160 mph instead of 150 mph in the E-Ray.
>Chevy claims a zero-to-60-mph time of under 2.0 seconds and a standing quarter-mile run in fewer than 9.0 seconds with a trap speed higher than 150 mph.
>Go on sale by the end of this year

Did Ford pay Chevy to delay their reveals?
Pretty convenient that Ford was able to introduce and sell out of their "fastest American car ever made" literally weeks before Chevy launched two more Corvettes that are both faster and less expensive... Sure would have been embarrassing if Ford released the GTD *after* the announcement of two cars that were more powerful and cost less
