>>28467511nearly a quarter of all mk1 mondeos in the country are in my backyard, I've worked with who knows how many other fords and I just came back from diagnosing an ABS pump issue of a 05' Focus. Ford Ecat is running in the background as we speak.
At this point, I just know both OEM and B-part catalogs so well, that I can find most parts within minutes.
With the focus, I knew that they have plenty of spares so I went straight to the B-part catalog and cross-referenced the B-part codes for parts that matched the description with google results.
I also have a rather large collection of ford part pictures sorted by FINIS(ford OEM partno). And multiple scrapyards across the country and neighboring countries almost know me by my first name.
Ford has a very good catalog system(depends on the car of course) that can be used to track the specific code that can then be used to find the needed parts online. 7zap is probably the most famous, but it's slow and requires a subscription nowadays to be functional(part numbers are only partly shown). ssg.asia and catcar.info should work, personally I use fordEcat which is the OEM software.
tl;dr I'm autistic
