>two clean ones from different dealers for 15k went down to 10k and shitty ones went from 2-5k to 1-3k on Facebook Marketplace.

Never ever ever ever ever ever. Been seeing more classic cars around lately (nice area). People are catching onto the fact that nucars are shit in most measurable ways and even the moderately mechanically inclined are looking into older cars

>it's also another excuse for everyone along the line to raise prices (reminder that 2/3rds of the covid price increases were just greed)
>economic downturn increases demand on cheap shitboxes
We're basically in Covid 2.0, it's just happening a bit slower and the media prefers to report on protests on the middle east instead

Everyone wants to ignore this but he's right along with job hopping. If you aren't getting promoted on average every 3 years, you should find another job that'll pay you at least 15% more.

Literally the only option is to stay hungry and keep demanding more money. It’s the only way. You’re never going to outsave inflation.

I'm at the point where I don't give a shit and am going to drop $50k on 40 year old cars because at least they hold value unlike the shitters people want $20k for with 200k miles. Why even buy a normies car at this point when a 10yo 4runner is a $20k car?

Of what?
You can get an N54 e93 for $10,000. For $20,000 you can have a folding hardtop, 6 speed with 500 HP, it will blow the tires off at 40 mph.

Within 5-10 years when Chinese auto makers stong arm western nations and flood the world with cheap cars.
No one is going to buy 15k shitboxes with 150,000 miles on them off marketplace when you can get a new BYD electric car for that price with a warranty and a $0 monthly fuel bill.

Prices ARE down? How much farther down do you want them to go? Look at the classic market, its a total bloodbath. Sure, normie-bait camrys and accords still go for insane prices but you don't have to buy that. Shop around and you can find great deals.
Thats not to say we've gone back to the $500 running and driving town car days, but its better than it was even just a year ago.

>$3K
That’s crazy. I’m looking at less than $400 total for a good set of four uhp all seasons but mine are 205/60r15 so there’s that.
Even expensive Michelin XWX would be $1600 total for four.
