>>28466570 (OP)>BMW MUsed to be really good until Bormann left. He left too because BMW was officially moving away from making M cars unique and the final straw was the DCT being cancelled for the ZF8. Ironically BMW is softer than ever and the M cars are just production BMW’s with tuned engines and bigger turbos. It’s just not the same. With that said current M cars are still ‘better’ than most cars. M4, M8 that is. M2 is a piece of shit, and M5 is a joke.
>Audi RSAudi RS used to be headed by Stephen Reil and they really did work on the race cars and picked out a few models per cycle to RS. They did amazing stuff but Audi had a shuffling of management around 2018 and SR moved to an executive role and the new CEO decided Audi RS would be a lifestyle trim level. Which is gay. The old RS5, RS4,RS2, RS6 are all excellent vehicles. The new ones are again, pretty good but it’s just a ZF8 and an engine tune and some design elements. Same problem as BMW.
>AMGI really don’t know much about them desu. Haven’t driven one.
>Porsche: Porsche is fucked. Turbo trim is pathetic these days. The Weissach stuff is pretty good but with the 991 even the cup cars became so far from the Carreras it’s sort of meaningless. The C2/S is also pathetic and beyond over priced. The Boxster is dead. Porsche is selling special edition 911s and that’s about it. If you aren’t buying a special edition 911 you are buying a stupid high markup car that’s frankly over engineered and slow.
>Blackwing Pretty cool desu, they need to adresss the 4 cyl in the CT4 V, the Blackwing versions are very very good. McDonald’s though
Is strongly recommend buying an older M, RS, or AMG and avoid the new ones. They’re souless trim levels where as the old ones and V10s and stuff from actual Motorsport.
For Porsche if you aren’t buying a Mezger or air cooled or GT3 you’re really just part of the problem. These are all brands running on fumes and cashing in on what they used to be.
