All I wanted was the rear brake pads replaced and the muffler put back on my car..

So I say tucked off, go buy the rotors for $106 and the pads for $67 and then what do you know?
The old ones aren't even tucked there is a good 20,000km left on them wtf is wrong with these scamming cunts?
The only reason I go to them is because I work 6 days a week 10-12 hours a day not because I am a fucking retard and can't do it myself.
And for icing on the cake I asked them to put my muffler back on, they cut the $70 cable ties holding the exhaust manifold to the frame and expected the 2 rubber mounts on the muffler to hold my $3000 twin 3 inch exhaust system on the car resulting in the muffler falling off and the manifold scraping along the ground at 110kmh not even 20km after I left the shop...
Should I seek damages or just talk to the boss? It is a small shop and I do know the boss he just was not in on this day and normally he always does me good because I always pay cash.
My muffler is fucked and my exhaust manifold is fucked I'm out 3k.

Back when cars were unreliable so you'd have to go to mechanic pretty often and it was cheap enough. Nowdays cars last a pretty long time so when you go it means you really need to the thing fixed and combined with less customers they have to increase costs. Its more like a convenience cost.
Mechanics aren't for us car guys anymore with the booking and waiting, its just quicker to do it yourself.
