VAG and Toyota have much higher budgets.

VAG's response is a stripped out track car that sucks ass to drive on the road, can't do 233 in any configuration, and cun't run 8s.

Toyota's response is a 3 cylinder trannyverse mounted """rallly""" car that blows up if you rally it and has the stopping distance of an 80s GM truck.

GM invests more than Toyota. GM also has actual engineers in charge of Corvette and Cadillac which explains why they have been so good recently.

where the fuck is VAG's R&D even going? they spend R&D money like they're racing in formula one. GM is supposedly behind Tesla in EV technology, they're racing in WEC, and they're investing in a Formula One program for Cadillac. all while making a budget hypercar, and STILL spending less than BMW and Merc, let alone VAG.

the bean counters at GM must be doing their actual job and cutting wastein R&D while still yielding results.

GM is doing the same. them selling more cars shouldn't mean the R&D is higher. they use the same platform across most cars.
VW>Seat>Skoda>Entry level Audi>Entry level Porsche
High end Audi>Bentley

with the Exception of the 911, and Lamborghini, most VAG platforms are shared to cut cost like GM. and GM is also fully electrifying Cadillac, and Chevy. the Corvette C8 was built to be an EV first and foremost and just happens to have an ICE engine. they'll make an all EV variant down the line. cadillac already has a fleet of full EV models.

they will pass all these BEV platforms down to chevy.

only avenzador is still unique and it's going away sometime soon, look at how most of their concepts are based off r8/gallardo/huracan platform and not aventador
urus is an audi too
911 and cayman/boxster are identical from seat back forward, and the drivetrain and rear suspension are also the same but flipped 180 degrees

Jim Mero said the ZR1 is even more capable than 7:05.

do you have any evidence that this>>28470638 wouldn't be just as fast without the exhaust?
>yes it did, see
no it didn't, bean people are not a reliable source.
>Where is the video that shows Jim Mero did a 7:05 lol
Don't need one, since you already admitted it was faster here>>28473743 lol and Jim Mero's time can actually be found quoted on the internet.
>so post a video of a C7 ZR1 going faster than 7:08 on production trim lol
Don't need to, cause you already admitted its faster regardless.
>proofs?
A non bean people source AKA jim mero, which you've already accepted and the internet has already quoted.
>neither did this
Cool, so we're in agreement that neither the C7 ZR1 that lapped the ring was production or the GTR. meanwhile, you already agreed that the C7 ZR1 is faster, and you still have no argument for the C6 SP even if you were to deny it.

GG no RE.

the hummer is a completely different car than the rest of the trucks.
the formula for GM trucks has not changed in almost 20 years, and most of the parts in them are shared with something else. the biggest shift came when people stopped buying short cabs and went to crew cabs.
the eboost brake system is an off the shelf part.
the 10 speed was shared with ford.
theyve made small block V8s for 60 years, and share them with the SUVs.
the transfer case is an off the shelf part.
the SUVs share almost everything with the trucks, and have a higher profit margin.
GM loved this platform so much, they shrunk it down and made it into the new colorado.
at some point, you just keep cranking out what works, and issue small updates to the platform to make it more livable/keep up with Ford.

where GM does better than ford, is there meme nonsense like the Hummer EV ends up actually trickling down into cars people buy. the lessons learned from the hummer directly apply to the base equinox EV

I have evidence that it wouldn't pass db restrictions, making it non-street legal around the ring, see >>28471326

you quoted trannybeanpedia here>>28470382

that is for non-street legal/production cars lol

no it can't
>Don't need to, cause you already admitted its faster regardless.
not a production/street legal one on the same track configuration lol
>A non bean people source AKA jim mero
Jim Meor is shilling for his own suspension tunes
> which you've already accepted
as a non-street legal production time

the c7 zr1 that lapped the ring wasn't production, the GTR was, as stated by Pistonheads lol
