You must find "the right place to pierce" the battery, specifically in a void space. However, without looking at the battery's schematics, we are never going to know where that void space is. There are a lot of different battery models out there on the EVs. This takes time and resources that an engine company just does not have. Then you have the issue of Tesla's lacking any battery void spaces. They are also the most popular EV in the States, and they blatantly tell you do not pierce their battery compartment, so we would almost never use the BEST. Especially when it comes to commercial vehicle batteries, as their location and construction are not compatible with it. There is also a pretty funny video of the BEST being demonstrated and not being able to pierce the battery tub. It just keeps lifting the vehicle up and not penetrating.

EV=Electric Vehicle=Extremely Explosive Vehicle. Same thing with hybrids because lithium containing batteries. Thats why pic related warning labels can be seen with many Lithium Ion battery powered products nowadays.
