If you wanna be even *more* radical, well, examples don't exist, but I got ideas.
The most common way things get stuck is mud and snow. The second most common is blown tyres. And the third most common is high centering. You can reduce the third problem by jacking up ride heights, but this is like putting a band-aid on a sucking chest wound. It doesn't solve the fundamental problem; which is, lack of traction under the center of gravity.
You can solve lateral high centering by adding another row of wheels or using tracks, but nobody has yet to implement the obvious solution to longitudinal high centering, which is wheels in the middle too.
