I daily drive a car without ABS.
The only thing I like about it, is that the bite point is well tuned, meaning you have a lot of control on if you are locking the wheels or not. But its still not that comfy to need to pump brake on ice, while trying to steer in between the pumps.

retard you have one (1) brake pedal to operate all four brakes. each wheel has its own braking threshold which you cannot individually control yourself (braking force distribution is set). the abs system CAN provide close to the maximum braking force for each wheel individually.

your argument would only be valid if you had four brake pedals to control each wheel individually, similar to a motorcycle where a rider CAN operate each brake individually and thus doesn't need abs

You're not suppose to literally pump it like a bicycle tire pump. Its more of a "pulse" where when it locks/starts to lock you release a minute amount of pressure then reapply.

Anyone riding on the street should be using ABS on a motorcycle. Track bikes are a different story, just for the convenience of frequent fluid flushes if nothing else.

You can beat ABS in perfect conditions.
However, I swapped a BMW M3 ABS on my track car because it's safer.
It's for when you overcook a braking zone.
Or bomb a corner trail braking like a mad man and over do it
ABS kicks off in the rear, keeps me from going off track.
Like a safety net.

I don't activate it much, but when I do; it's a OPS movement.

no retard, only theoretically.
only if all four tyres had the same grip level/brake threshold, which is almost never the case (weight transfer, minute differences in asphalt condition, etc.)

Go try car without ABS on winter icy road, fully press down the brake pedal until the car stops. See how long you car slides until it finally stops. Then do the same with car that does have ABS and see how the car with ABS will stop in shorter distance than non ABS car. Then come to talk again.

I can beat the ABS in a straight line at the track.
Idk why sub 100 IQ people start seething when I say that.
It's simple, ABS will NEVER NEVER EVER use 100% of the tire's grip ever.
It's designed to allow a driver some control over the car to turn when the system activates.
Usually 90-92% of the tires grip is used or braking, the rest for turning.
I can use 100% of the tire under braking at a smooth track.
G forces are 1.3-1.32Gs
ABS braking hovers around 1.2-1.23Gs

That being said ABS is still faster on a track. It is able to pull pressure from rear tires or just 1 corner while trail braking.
That's something that a driver with one foot cannot do.

my car's ABS ended up just being the tyres having more grip than the stock brakes' stopping power, it was pretty fun being able to stomp the pedal down to the very end of its travel, the entire car would nosedive like crazy, but the wheels never locked up.

Pumping the brakes is worse than ABS. You want to threshold brake, where you hold it right where you can feel it's about to lock. Problem is that speed and brake temp change the threshold and one wheel usually locks up first (esp if there's weight shift) so the threshold is a constantly moving target. It's not some point in the brake pedal you can just put into muscle memory.
t. only tracked without ABS, driven 15 years without it, ABS fuse pulled to this day.
ABS is amazing, I just wish it didn't have to come with traction and stability control in most cars from the last 20 years.

It's because we keep adding assists that take away the need to have any skill so of course most people can't threshold brake or have any throttle control.

Lmao get a load of this slowfag.
If ur ABS isn't activating on track you're starting too soon. And it does get in the way of trail braking as well as have an extended braking zone over a proper on the limit and smooth manual braking. Abs works by pulsing the brakes when it detects a lock so half the power gets wasted. It also mutes your release point, the most important part of a braking zone.

Yes, but then you underbrake anon. Nevermind that you need to overbrake and lock the wheel to get a feel for where the bite point is on the other edge.
>pump it like a bicycle tire pump
Yes, you are.
This defeats partial brake line failure, and reservoir leaks and you losing power braking. Then minimize the movement after getting the max pressure, which means you can only pressure it down 1/3 of the way.

>Its more of a "pulse" where when it locks/starts to lock you release a minute amount of pressure then reapply.
That is what ABS do and ABS relies on power braking. And ABS bruteforces it, where its only limited by the number of sensor pulses on the ABS crown part.
Meanwhile without ABS the procedure is:
1. PUMP!
2. Find bite point, and pray you get enough steering that you don't risk starting to swerve

2108. The bestest car out there. You can start it at -40 (You must warm up a carb and an air intake must be warmed up by a hair drier) and drive it away. 1.3 liter engine conserve fuel better than any other (russian) car.
