Looks like stellantis may have finally gotten it's head out of its ass. And Tim has oversight now on all US brands

can't wait to see the new Charger Daytona Scat Pack SRT Wide Body Redeye with no extra horsepower and they make the exhaust speaker louder. Maybe they'll do something really cool like adding little nozzles that shoot out pressurized wiper washer fluid so it looks like spraying NOS

Leaks show a possible cuda/duster revival. Pictures showed a car that looked like a coupe version of the previous Gen charger

Remember when they moved ALL SRT employees and put them in charge of developing EVs?
I knew that wasn't going to work out
Fuck that was funny.

Where did you hear this? I remember seeing that people were speculating/claiming to have leaks like a decade ago that there would be a giulia based barricuda, but I haven't seen anything up to date. Frankly, I think if they could swap strip down the giulia, put the hurricane in it, and offer it at a sub-mustang price point they might have a winner

Make new viper with mid engine to piss on corvette and make smaller viper and call It a rattler to compete with miata for small light cabrio (just make engine bay big enough for something that makes 400hp)

The viper was already in the same pricepoint as the high performance corvette c8s are now
Dodge giving us a v10 sports car at the same price as a base model stingray would be the big brain move.

New charger looks pretty cool, but even with the I6 its still heavier than the outgoing model cars.

Noo, fuck that mid engine shit. Viper has to be a front engined monster, it's just not a real Viper otherwise imo.
And you just know that they would make it automatic, if they want to sell any. Because God forbid learning to shift.

Like I said, what I saw was from a decade ago and it was just rumors followed up with some fan made renders, which frankly didn't look that interesting. I only brought it up because I wondered if the rumors were the same or related.

Looking online, https://www.topspeed.com/the-2023-dodge-barracuda-may-be-the-challegner-giulia-love-child-we-never-got/ this seems to be the most recent batch, but it just is the usual "shown to dealers" rumor which we got for the four door mustang rumors. Seems like there was a lot of these rumors around 2015, but with the way things are going in terms of stellantis leadership and the economy im not sure if they would have just shut the plans down. Then again, with the EPA regulations seemingly set to be relaxed and their current models underperforming, I could see them trying to dust off some old plans and quickly adapt the giulia tooling to it (especially when the giulias replacement is supposed to share a platform with the current charger)
>>28496522
The problem is they tried to make a platform that can be both ev and ice, and just like the cars that BMW did that with, it's pig heavy, although it doesn't help that it's also a good deal larger than the outgoing charger

I don't recall, but when they unveiled them last year it turns out they weigh a few hundred pounds more, which makes sense when you consider that the new one is a good deal larger and is a compromise platform compatible with ice and ev, so it's going to be a bit heavier than something optimized for ice

It's crazy how much it weighs. A Model S with a 100kwh battery weighs 4800lbs. The Charger has a 90kwh battery and weighs 5800. Smaller battery but still weighs a half ton more.
