Which 4 door sedan is comfy and smooth when you want it, but also exhilarating and precise when you want it?
That is probably what these premium sport sedans are made for.

Definitely not anything with a transverse-mounted engine, that's for sure.

Here's all I can think of for mid size sedans that have real back seat space for under $70k.
>BMW 3/4 series
>Cadillac CT5 <- the best value by far
>Acura TLX
>Genesis G80
Retard tier and more expensive:
>Audi S5
>Merc E class

Also have a soft spot for the subaru WRX.

The IS is too small and the ES is too slow.
The GS was the last good one.

I've always been baffled by the "sports luxury" car. Everything that makes a sportscar sporty makes a luxury car less luxurious and everything that makes a luxury car luxurious makes a sportscar less sporty.
Nowadays there's suspension tech and steering tech and exhaust tech and engine tech that CAN make a car really good at both, but oh wait first I have to make sure I pull over and go into the touchscreen and put the steering into sport mode and the suspension into track mode and the exhaust into race mode and turn the esc off and ok now it's fun to drive. Also after all that my $100k performance executive sedan is barely faster than a 60k Camaro.

definitely not a "premium" sports sedan but the most fun do-it-all daily driver sports car for the price

>BMW 3 series β€œmid” sized
Maybe if you compare mid size cars from decades ago. 3 series is a compact sedan
Acura TLX rear seats are closer to compact sedan than a true modern midsize.
Genesis G80, CT5 and BMW 5 series offer 2-3 inches more in than rear compare to the TLX

I don't think your Uber passengers will appreciate an "exhilarating" ride. They just want to get to their destination peacefully.

Brownoids and jeets love them. They're after all the status labels. Really no purpose or focus but to want to have it all.

Ehhhh not so much anymore. I see more and more of them going for luxury trim pickup trucks instead. I literally only see Asians driving new BMW's and Benz's but even they're starting to go for trucks.

my mom was given a 4door 2024 nissan maxima from the rental while her 2018 kia niro is in the shop, and she hates it. it's practically built like a track car, being wide, low, and heavy, with 300 horsepower to the wheel. she hasn't put the car to it's paces, but i still wonder how they make the transition from a dead stop to rolling so smooth with an engine this powerful. leave it up to america to leave my mom with a racecar lol

Such a thing doesn't exist.
There's a distinct balance between a soft, comfortable ride, and a rough, engaging one.
It's literally like a stat slider when creating a video game character.
