Looking for my first car
What should my first car be?
The only thing that really matters is that it has a CD player, aux cable input and Bluetooth, USB charging, and that it’s a hatchback. My mum also says that it should be small and the budget is $10K Australian Dollars.

Go outside and keep walking in a car loaded area. Look at cars you'd like to have and make photos of them. Once you have photos of 100 cars go to a dealership, show the car dealer all the photos and ask him to deal you a similar car. Test drive the car he gave you. If it goes from A to B and you don't hear any weird sounds, buy it.

Honda fit, Jimny, swift, any Suzuki I'm your price range.

Look for a used corolla. Avoid 2000-2001 ones, though, they have an oil burning problem. Once you feel like you've learned enough, sell it for a grand and buy a proper car.

there's a guy on the south coast of nsw selling his 96 camry for 2500. i think it needs a bit of work, but it's got a v6 and 5 spd manual. would be a fun for a reliable shitbox.

and yes i know you said hatch, but this is the greatest generation of camry we're talking about here, you're getting an entry level luxury car dressed up as a family sedan

Wut? No. He should get a used RAV4 assuming this isn't some weird roleplay (my instincts tell me it is).

Okay? I've driven 2 of them and love 90s Japanese cars. They aren't luxurious or fun to drive.

for the kind of car they were, their ride quality was a lot better than their contemporary competitors. 5 spd is pretty damn fun considering it's a bland grocery getter

I guess, didn't feel that different from a Sunfire or G5 or corolla.
More importantly, I don't think OP is rich or competent enough to maintain even the most reliable of 30 year old cars. He needs '05+, probably '10+. Do you think OP could handle a belt or even a wheel bearing?

that's a good point, OP how good is your wrenching ability? how much do you plan to DIY versus taking to a shop? and do you have the tools and space to wrench?

No you didn't you lying faggot. You made it here, with the same OP image.
And your question is boring. All of the things you want can be simply added to a car for almost nothing. The USB charging is a $2 plug into your cigarette lighter, the rest is a radio change.

You can get any old shitbox with a standard DIN head unit and swap in any aftermarket head unit to get all of the features you want, plus a 5 dollar USB charger for the lighter
