the only thing they share is the 8.8 and the mod motor 4.6, but the crown vic doesn't use the 4link or the ifs rear that you could get a cobra with, plus they have the 5 speed.

they don't even share the motor, vics only ever had the 2v 4.6 with none of the upgrades that the mustang got (they rated it higher hp wise, at least), and never got the 3v that the 2005+ mustangs got

Terminators use the same block as a 2V GT and the C-heads are completely different design than the B-heads on the original Lincoln version of the DOHC 4.6L. But he was talking about how the 2V GT from '96-'04 was essentially the same engine in the panther. Panthers did get the PI head update, but it was in '01 instead of '99.
