Raped by the F87 M2
>better styling
>E46 m3 size, E46 m3 weight
>angel eyes instead of Camaro DRLs
>no tablet slop
It still looks better than the M4, but that's an incredibly low bar to cross. It also shouldn't weigh nearly 4000 pounds especially when it's supposed to be the "lighter" car.

The M5 that weighs as much as a Chevy Tahoe makes the M2 look slow as fuck too, does that mean it's better?

>M2 CS (G87) vs F87 (M2)
You're comparing a limited production 2026 model that's not even out yet that's riding on semi-slicks (the M2 CS). BMW made a huge deal about the ability of "ultra-track" tires allowing them to aim for a better time, which is the real answer as to why they shaved 10+ seconds off the lap time by adding a few horses and making the roof carbon (using the new Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires instead of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires).
It's funny that, aside from the advantage of new tires, the G87 M2 is actually barely faster than a 10+ year old Giulia Quad. I wonder what one would be capable of with a set of those Pirellis?

A standard non competition F87 M2 can barely finish the burgerking in under 8 min lol.
Anonymous No.28509910 [Report] >>28509977
And that’s not even the facelift which is quite a bit faster
Anonymous No.28509977 [Report] >>28510000
>>28509910
There are a couple of things to note here:
The non-comp F87 was a relatively affordable car and came with the N55 engine, giving it 'only' 365hp, unlike the more expensive F87 competition which had the 410hp S55. The G87 skipped the B58 entirely and came with the S58 from the beginning (making it a much more expensive car than the previous non-comp M2) giving it a baseline of 460hp. Secondly, the burgerking lap time was most likely set on Michelin PSS, which are shit by today's standards. The F87 comp should be able to get into the mid 7:40s with comparable tires (PS4S).

I'm sure the new M2 is faster, but on a track that long the difference is not big enough to matter to anyone who isn't a (bench) racer.

Wonder what a 956 on modern tires would do...

>mid 7:40s
nope. it’s just not a good car for a power track. it’s very twitchy with a very loose rear end. it desperately needs a wing

Aside from the Z4 this is the only other (along with the m240i) that I would buy from nu bmw.
It's still
>Too large
>Too heavy
>Too many screens
I want the old gauges back, the new bmw dash is 2 curved tablets that look cheap. And it isnt even integrated into the dash, from the sides it looks like some kind of chinese aftermarket android auto solution for old cars.

The screens are lazy, yes. they should be integrated in the dash like this.
But it’s alright, the driving experience makes up for it

Nah, G87 >>>> F87. No contest.
The only thing that sucks about the G87 is the interior with the slapped on chinkpads.

Okay. Nothing you say can convince me that the Camaro-like headlights with no angel eyes aren't awful and devoid of any BMW soul. I'm not sure what's going on with the taillights either, but they have the look of a "retrofitted" LED taillight on an older BMW made to look new.
I can tell there's nu-2 Series owners in here kek

Yeah, early 2010s BMW was far ahead of whatever the hell they're up to now.

I drive an E46 and I would say that one of the best looking BMWs is the F32; too bad for the EPS. The F87 looks like a fuckin' baby shoe with its dumb proportions.
>BMW soul
They've lost it; fuck em. I just like the new 2 series because it reminds me of Japanese cars from the late 90s early/mid 00s.
