Me, I got lucky. The VW dealer in my hometown that I got mine from was fine. My sales guy knew his shit and encouraged me to push it on the test drive. He himself drove a GLI and told me where I should go to tint the windows. I went in preparing to fight the sales staff at every turn and honestly I was disappointed by how amicable they were instead.
>>28511226>>28511633Older DCTs were notably rough, that's probably what anon is thinking of. They're never going to be as smooth as slushboxes or CVTs, but these days they're perfectly comfortable if you can execute the most basic amount of throttle control. And VW DCTs are king, always have been.
