So my '92 Spirit R/T has 180k miles on it and overheats quick these days due one of the fans failing.
the modern calculator suggested me using this but I have doubts about it since my engine is quite weary.

I'm after best lubrication option with less overheating proneness

any tipsu?

oil isn't going to solve it
fix your rad fan
you don't get by with pretending a problem is fixed, fix the actual problem

>I will need to keep for about a year.

just go shopping for a new car right now because your shitbox is going to need a new head gasket in about 6 months if not sooner.

no
it's the same oil more or less
diesel engine oil just has more zinc additive and tends to last longer because it's more resistant to heat and shear. it's also used in motorcycle wet clutches.
they also make it in a "multivehicle" blend but as far as i can tell it's the same thing just with different service marks
if you are worried about it maybe you should fix your fucking rad fan so you don't have to be picky about oil
i'd still recommend t6 anyway it's god tier and i've used it in all my vehicles for years

Thanks. I will try T6. But I'd still be picky about ingin oil because my ingin is quite weary you see. I'm planning on rebuilding it but God knows when this year. Probably the sleeves are worn a little and there is way more gap between rings and the wall than the default spec. And having this overheating issue as a sidekick for about two months now.

Gonna visit a yard to ask about a good truck or bus grade fans that fit.

just buy a new fan for your actual car stop being a ghetto retard
i hate you people, no mechanical empathy, it's like if i went to /an/ and asked "hey, my cat is missing its head what kind of food should i buy for him?"

i'm only helping you because i'm bored. you personally deserve to be run at 180+ f with no water for a year.

You're an actual retard who did 5 seconds of research when you should have done 10. Thicker oil WILL help with certain problems relating to overheating such as oil viscosity and poor lubrication. What it WONT help with is literally everything else that comes with overheating such as expanding pistons and the damage resulting from that among playing russian roulette with your head gasket.
I mean shit that piston might have expanded .020 and is absolutely obliterating the chamber and the coolant is effectively turn into a bio weapon (or if you're using water, your shit will just get hot enough to boil it all out, which is equally as funny) but by GOD if the engine isn't moving like butter, huh?
