This exact promotional photo has such a place in my heart because when I first started to think about cars in Middle school, I decided that I wanted the 2011 Grand marquis, which at the time had just gone out of production, and I even went to the struggle of downloading this exact photo onto my 3ds, and even copying it over to my wii.
Like, my Nintendo Wii is sitting over there with this exact image on it. That's pretty funny.

The panther I eventually ended up with is a little bit older though...

My entire childhood I thought this van was the coolest vehicle on Earth just because my grandparents owned it and it had a TV built in, so I guess my taste in cars was always really strange.
It's a 1990, the car, and the van is a 1988.
I actually prefer the exterior of the 1989 to 1991 panther, the tail lights look a lot nicer than the '80s ones, and 90 and 91 both have a nicer interior!

I actually managed to get my hands on a police speedometer as well, I never thought I would find one because it only existed for two model years, but one of my friends in Alabama happened to hunt one down in a junkyard and since they went digital for those two years, all I had to do was unplug my speedometer and plug the police one in.
Well, and swap my good odometer gears over, that's the other thing about 90 and 91, none of them have accurate odometers because the gears turn to goo in the north, and dust in the south.

Yeah something useful. Sedans are the worst vehicle configuration ever. What's the point of this when the Navigator exists? Don't even think of bringing up handling or COG when you're talking about these.

Yeah, I'd really like a mint condition, late model Town Car instead of a Grandma Keith or a Crown Vic. I just want to LARP as some livery driver or mobster from the '00s.
>>28522864
The Navigator is an unreliable POS with a shitty engine and even worse suspension. There's a reason I daily an Escalade from the mid '00s instead, and a reason you see lots of those and almost no old Navigators on the other hand.

I assume you mean the 2nd gen then? 1st gen were DOHC 5.4L and a 4R100 from the F250.

Do it. I love mine. They're really not much more expensive than Vics or Grandmas at this point and they're easy to find in great condition because most of their owners were seniors.
