You guys prefer sports cars with or without a wing?

Sometimes they look good if it goes well with the rest of the car. If anything it slows you down an imperceptible amount, but I'm okay with that if it looks right.

Stylistically it doesnt work well with the ovoid car design here and i'm not a fan of these mercedes anyway so that's prob not helping. Just compare how fucking perfect the wing on this 190 evo is compared to the OP.
And like the other said, even most of these cars with movable wings dont even come into play for aero downforce until prob well above interstate speeds. porsche doesnt even lift their spoilers until after about 78mph so that's probably the very earliest beginning threshold of "even doing anything"

depends on the car
for amg gt, less is more
unfortunately people don't have taste, and mercedes catered to those who don't have taste and added more of everything even to the base amg gt

Probably depends on the exact car: S550 mustang looks great without a wing, the S600 (newest) looks kinda bad without a wing. Some cars look okay with a wing even though its just for looks, like the Mach E Rallye. Thats just there for fun, go for it.

Most cars simply do not need wings and are there just for display purposes only. I think most cars would look better without a wing. That being said, a high performance car that actually can make use of a well engineered wing sure. Function over form.
I also don't think theres anything wrong with adding aftermarket wings if you just like the look of them either, fuck it, you want a big gay wing on the trunk of your honda civic you commute to your retail job in? Go for it bud.

Nah it's objectively shitty looking.
The car is already visually weighted to the rear and adding a goofy wing makes it worse.

I'd prefer a more subdued spoiler over a wing on something like an AMG GT.
It really comes down to the car though; I couldn't imagine a lot of those late 90's/early 00's japshit sports cars like the RX-7, Supra or sedan Impreza without their wings.

On a roadcar it's cringe as hell. Factory rice is still rice at the end of the day. Integrated spoilers and retractable aero are less offensive, but still very ricey.

Wangs look good but are not functionally good in most cases. Low drag is both high speed and high milage, what everyone wants most of the time.
Homologation specials have an excuse, even if noone who owns them is going to use them for taking a winding road at full throttle anyways.

On what metric?
Drag?
Acceleration is the only thing drag effects and overall resistance.
If your car is making more than 15hp per lbs, it's not a factor of reduced MPG.
If the car is kept planted the TRAC/ESC won't work hard, and that is what really kills MPG and brakes. A front biased car will have more brake wear in the rear.
>I turn those off.
Then your car is no longer on the road. At that point the car is already going faster than what the road can handle.

The thing is that the "function," regardless of however marginal it may be, is pointless in a roadcar. It is therefore considered rice because it doesn't do anything that is actually useful.
