I've the wagon. Its eight now and in the couple of years I've had it, it has just needed a drop link.
Not many Tipos here so people stop to look.
Smiles are fun.

>What am I in for?
-good gas mileage
-surprisingly good view from the drivers seat
-ok ergonomics
-ok reliability (for a Shitalian car)
-ok comfort
-ok handling
-shitty infotainment system but at least it supports carplay and android auto

It's the very opposite of drivers car but it performs good in the role it was designed for. Buy a wagon for the reasons listed above - it's not very fun to drive so make sure it's practical.

Turkish shitbox. You know, it's not too awful for what it is. Get a 301/C-Elysee for a true thirdie shitbox experience. God I love those abominations.

It pretty much is a Logan competitor.

A chink piece of shit that will leave your ass waiting for a tow truck on the highway, like all of garbage Stellantis group cars.
At the very least get a Nissan or a Korean made car.

The only FIAT I have ever had seen me stood by the side of the road had been driven like stolen every day for about five years.
It was utterly fcukd but try doing that in any other car and you'd get the same result.
BTW driving like it is stolen every day is quite good fun.

My dad bought one new back in 2018 (before it was facelifted). So far he's done around 90k km. It came with an na 1.4 and a 6 speed manual. If possible get one with some more powerful engine as this one feels a bit under powered. They might have oil consumption issues (that's what it say in the owner's manual, idk about my dad's car since I never asked him about that). You will be replacing pic related fairly often but it's a fairly cheap part. He had no other issues. It's got good visibility, drives well and it is quiet. Overall it's a good car but they've gone up in price. My dad paid for it around 12k and now he could sell it for the same amount

I forgot to mention, his didn't come with start stop function but some cars had it. It wasn't an option, some cars would randomly get it. It's weird it wasn't in any paperwork, so if you want that for some reason you will need to look a bit harder than you'd expect

Stop start and a lot of the other unintersting stuff is in the menu.
That touch screen is satnav and radio, look elsewhere for car functions.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the newest gen dacias are solid too. But they are repulsive. The old ones were better. Who gives a shit, they were safe enough. Now you have no visibility and no interior room.
Anonymous No.28535351 [Report]
>>28532975
Not at all. Though there is a "Dodge Neon" that is a direct rebadge of the Tipo only in Mexico.

Older dacias are notorious 4 wheeled coffins, any crash can total the car and kill the people inside it. Newer ones are better but they're still not inspiring any safety to the driver.
Anonymous No.28535540 [Report] >>28535545 >>28535947
>>28535476
From what I've seen in Euro NCAP results, the newer ones have at least somewhat crush-resistant passenger compartments. The mini cuckover-ish Dacia Sandero Stepway provided at least marginal protection to the driver and front passenger, which I suppose is an upgrade from instant death if you hit a barrier at any speed.
The Euro NCAP doesn't give a lot of points for marginal results, though, especially with all other safety features at an absolute minimum, so it still ended up with 2 stars out of 5.
Anonymous No.28535545 [Report] >>28535626
>>28535540
most of the historical star deductions are due to them not putting enough e-safety features like cruise control, lane change assist or pedestrian radars because they want to keep the cars cheap but some is due to the cars being very easy to total in a crash.
Anonymous No.28535626 [Report] >>28535947
>>28535545
Yeah, it's just barely good enough that it might get 3 stars if it had a decent number of assistive features.
Most of the possible max score is still from physical safety, and it's not particularly good at that either. They have definitely improved a bit.

>In May 2013, the second generation Dacia Sandero achieved a four star Euro NCAP overall rating for basic level, improving on the previous basic model's three star score.
>The car received a score of 29 points (80%) for adults, 39 points (79%) for children occupants, 21 points (57%) for pedestrians and 5 points (55%) for safety assist, these results being rated as 5/5 stars for adult and child occupant protections, and 4/5 stars for pedestrian protection and safety assist.
What a load of shit. 4-5 stars for the parts related to the structure of the actual vehicle.

Back on topic, the Tipo mogs with 81% for adult occupants. Turki steel good steel.
