I like Acura but I always thought this thing was too fat and lame to compete with Cadillac and the Germans
And copers on here always claimed it was better than an S5 because of SH-AWD like that can compensate for it having a sideways engine and being 400lbs too heavy

Acura is a North American-made brand. Some Hondas built in America are sold as Acuras.
The Acura TLX is a rebadged Honda Inspire โ€“ the same model that was rebadged as the 7th and 8th gen Honda Accords in the U.S.. The Honda Accord that was sold worldwide during that period was sold as the Acura TSX in the U.S..

"Gee why did our overly expensive, way under powered "sports" sedan not sell?"

I really makes you wonder; wtf has Japan been doing? They used to be the king of the streets but the only cars thay have been worth buying while beating their competition for the last 20 years has been the GT-R the GR corrolla.

The lancer is gone, the WRX is a fucking heap of under powered shit that no longer competes with V8s, the supra got raped by the out going C7, the 86's got 86'd by minivans, the new Z is fucking trash.

I remember when the big V8s couldn't hold their own against their JDM competitors and now JDM is competing with minivans, hyundais, and VW GTIs.. Fucking sad...

The original 86 was never a fast car, since it was just a boosted rwd corolla.
Supra mkiv used to make 280-320hp and got raped by corvettes while costing more than it or a NSX or a RX-7.
Im surprised the new Z still exists given how Nissan is faring.
People pretend old JDMs were the fastest cars around when they were anything but that stock.
Miata is still great, new gr86 is affordable fun, the new Supra with the B58 is super tunable and has already achieved 1000 hp, Toyota is making a new MR2 and Lexus already has the LFA successor running. They may not be the fastest cars, but they are good for their class, cheap to buy and cheap to own. However the LFA successor is gonna be too expensive.

I had one as a daily for several years before it was totalled by a drunk teenager in his momโ€™s SUV who hit it while it was parked in my driveway :/ but he ended up breaking his spine and probably wonโ€™t ever walk again so its sort of Ok
It was basically the perfect car. I am still chasing that high. What donโ€™t anons like about them?
>nice leather seats
>great stereo
>extremely comfy controls
>very fun to drive
>very reliable, change the oil every 10k, change the timing belt every 100k
Only thing that i didnโ€™t like is it was very, very thirsty, and only drank premium. Used to cost me about $35/day to drive to and from work.
