It depends on where you live I guess but around washington, for instance, a lot of people plate their dirt bikes even when they don't intend on riding them on the road. Lot's of connecting trails and roads between different trail systems, and forestry roads for example rewuire plates. You're really limiting yourself without it

It drives me nuts. Happens in the opposite direction, too. If you have an exit that's backed up, lots of gorilla niggers will jump to the end then force their way into the front, which is why it's backed up in the first place

Most people are not going to be cool with letting someone "cut in line" in the name of efficiency. They see it as they got to the intersection first, anyone who gets there later should get behind them in their lane.

I've seen the same thing at a post office with multiple queues but only 1 or 2 tellers. People will initially start filling the queues, but after people figure out there aren't the same number of tellers, maybe they'll reshuffle in the beginning, but eventually they'll just yell at anyone who doesn't get behind the longest line.

Few reasons
In 00' they had a V1 design and afterwards had a V2 design essentially.

The V1 was prone to the piston sticking causing you to manually adjust it to unstick it, if you are full Throttle then suddenly close it completely there's a small chance to stick the piston.

Honda, yamah, kawi, etc all have these things at an angle that has the bolts hugging the frame which is fine if you have low profile sockets but if you're a average Joe then you're gonna have a bad time.
I don't like manual tensioners for road bikes because you must periodically check and properly set the tension, effectively defeating the purpose of remedying the fix entirely.
>tldr I'm just a big handed bitch who gets paranoid over any and all noises coming from my machine, a slight tapping sound from the cam chain slapping drives me fucking insane

You have a lawsuit here if you want. If you don't like working there, you can get a negotiated exit. If you want to fuck the person who put the sticker on your bike, you can demand an investigation and pulling the security cams, along with the name of the person who tipped HR. And you can get some manner of revenge.
At the very least, I would demand a letter clearing you of any wrongdoing. This way, anything that happens later is "retaliation" and you are in a stronger position.

Usually itโ€™s because people try to cut it outside the zipper at the last minute
For instance a two lane right exit merging into one, people will drive almost all the way to that exit in the next lane to the left and then try to merge in over the striped white.
If the traffic is really bad theyโ€™ll even do it from the next lane over from that, making a four into one that never goes anywhere
Thereโ€™s one particularly egregious example of this that comes to mind on the cross island in Queens, I think it was exit 30 to the Long Island expressway but itโ€™s been a number of years now

What is the best dual-sports/scrambler bike for manlets to take for some mild off-roading? I'm 5'7/170 cm and on top of that I have a gorilla build with long arms and short legs and at this point I'm pretty used to the butt-shuffling technique, but doing that on a trail seems like a recipe for disaster and the one time I took a friend's Super Tenny for a spin it gave me the heebie jeebies just going across a gentle creek.

I don't know wtf dual sports you're thinking of. Even a Honda 450 is like $2-3k cheaper than a gixxer 750. The Japanese 250s/300s are less than half the price of one. The only "dual sports" I can think of that cost as much as the gixxer are high-end European enduro bikes, which aren't really dual sports.

I know the tripper navigation is apparently kinda trash but i wonder what other info you can see on the lcd, and what you can see on the main clock.
i could even consider a beeline moto 2 as replacement for the tripper if i can find one used/if i want to give myself a little gift in the future, both are navigation mirroring but the beeline at least seems like it works fine.
i'm seriously considering it, it's a motorcycle i really like as far as looks and with the discount on the base model and a little trade in bonus i can get it for very cheap, manlet accessible and i always hear it's a nice little peppy engine

agree that's why i said it would be a gift for the future if i can find it used. but for not much more than 100โ‚ฌ.
and yeah analogue dash has the tripper on the side by default, that's why i think a beeline swap in the future wouldn't be so hard to do if i really wanted to, worst case i can just remove the plastic cover for the clock and draw a new one and get it printed in nylon or something for the seamless look.

>>28532879
Himmy looks amazing and i love the concept but it's heavier, taller and a bit more expensive and i would't do any kind of offroad that the guerrilla with a tire swap wouldn't do.
i'm vertically challenged (5'5") and while current bike is a lot taller i tried for a super short time the guerrilla and it just felt right for me but i couldn't do a real test ride with it just a quick back and fourth on the road (full winter, new tires and salt/water on the road)

a v12 car sounds good because it screams, but i think its more of an RPM thing than a being a v12 thing, maybe i'm tone deaf but a v4 at 16k rpm sounds pretty close
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
one reason giant american slow revving cars and bikes sound so good is because you almost feel like you can distinguish the firing order, and then they roar instead of scream because theyre moving so much volume per power stroke
The ferrarri 6.5L displaces about 540ccs everytime it goes bang, while, say, a 6.2L HEMI displaces 775cc every time.

stop using foamies, go to an audiologist, and have them make custom inserts for a couple bills
then they just instantly go in, are flush with the cartilage of your ear for maximum comfort, and work perfectly

If you just want music and phone calls, it might be worth saving a bunch and just getting a Spirit HD. That's what I have and I'm pretty happy with it, could be a little louder but I'm on a bike with no wind protection, wearing a relatively loud dual sport helmet, and use pretty hardcore earplugs, and you can upgrade to the JBL speakers if it's really not enough. The packtalk is excellent with regards to pairing, me and Harleybro met on a group ride literal months ago. When we had actually planned to ride together 1 on 1 he knew I was at the gas station because it auto paired us as soon as he had visual contact with the gas station
With regards to audio, speaker pucks will always suck dick at the cost of not having to put in earbuds. That said, earbuds with memory foam eartips are unrivaled in terms of audio quality to me and you can plug them right into your cardo cradle. Itโ€™s a little wonky to put on ear plugs every time you put on your helmet but thatโ€™s the convenience cost of sound quality.

There is simply no perfect bike, best you can do is go to several shops and try them all so you can see what fit best to you. Due to your height maybe its best for you to pick a 19in front wheel based bike, though you usually find more ADVs than DS with that wheel size. Also Tennies aren't for newbies, they barely got ABS, while other cheaper smaller cc like KTM 390 ADV for example, come with riding modes and TC, you can customize it yourself too I think. You could put offroad ABS so you can lock the rear wheel which is sometimes useful on dirt/mud, yet keep TC on if you aren't going that fast so you don't go lifting your front wheel so much.
As for scramblers, it could either be a Triumph or the new Royal Enfield GRR.

As for actual ride talking, just use a discord server if you have service, works better than using it normally where it sounds with very low volume when being over 30ft apart, they're ok for a backpack though.

Does anyone know of a company that sells an all white (or flesh colored) suit without all the stupid logos and shit all over it? I need one to wear under seifuku and shimapan.

Its done. Not that I care because the entire point was to ride it hard until I killed myself. I only got it so I could ride around on roads I know well between midnight at first light as fast as it'll go.

I got it from the dealership and I only purchased a brand new one for the 40th Anniversary paint. I've been riding Kawasaki for a long time. I'm one year younger than the bike they're celebrating and rode for team green in motorcross until they used me up and put me out to pasture. Killing myself on one seemed like a fitting end to a long and painful life. Cosplaying as Raimu seemed like a fun way to go out.

Cruise control is just outright admitting that the road is so boring that you don't want to ride it any more so you get a machine to do it for you. It doesn't belong on bikes and if you find yourself using it on a bike either you're on the wrong road or you shouldn't be on a bike. 125cc bikes shouldn't even be on a highway anyway so they double don't need it.

It's good because you don't need to hold the throttle wide open for extended periods so you take some strain of your wrist and you can even take your half off the throttle for a few seconds to stretch. I imagine most people on here haven't actually experienced riding long distance and high speed (relative) on a buzzy little 125. I've never used cruise control though, so hopefully it actually adjust the throttle position to maintain a set speed and isn't just a throttle position lock because it's going to slow down a lot on inclines.

Cruise control on a bike or in a cage have the same function for me: gawking at scenery without dangerously slowing down on the freeway. Enjoying the view off the freeway as it rolls by is a great joy when traveling. If I see no ones around on the highway, Iโ€™ll often end up rolling down the road at 35mph just to enjoy it.
