Except for oil changes, tire rotations/alignments, fluids, and little fixes.

If I see a bill over $1,000 - I'M OUT. KEEP THE FUCKING CAR.

What car fulfills this criteria? I just want something where I buy it - DONE. No bullshit. I already paid money for it I'm not fucking paying again.

I want to buy a new car that WON'T GIVE A FUCK for 500,000+ miles. No stupid bullshit. No
>welllll you're wastegate actuator needs a new spark plug switch 3.0 fixer. Now, this part is on backorder and will be coming from Maryland, and it's going to be $7,220 for the part and the labor
None of that.

Anything Japanese should do well except for Nissan. A naturally aspirated Mazda or a Toyota hybrid would be ideal.

why do wrenchlets do anything but actually learn to work on their cars? the price mechanics charge is for the convenience of you being such an emasculated faggot that you couldn’t pick up a ratchet to do basic work on your car. either pay up or be a good little goyim and buy some soulless japscrap every few years and run it into the ground with your retardation, I suppose

Me either but because I'd rather fix it myself over a Saturday then have them hold onto my car for a fucking week.

Honestly, I agree with OP.

Cars today break a lot. The plastics rattle after 10,000 miles. The performance of the vehicle drops by a noticeable amount before 40k. And 80% of the car has to be taken back to the shop for recalls within 3-8 years.

Even though older cars did need maintenance, at least they ran great, didn't make a sound other than engine and exhaust, and looked good. Even Honda and Toyota run like shit by the time you get the the 10th oil change now. I have yet to see a truck made after the 90's not require new brakes and attention to the suspension after 50k. It actually really has gotten absurd.

everything is made to be disposa-trash

they want you to buy a new one every 6 months to 3 years, just like iPhones, fast fashion, laptops

modern cars just have to limp barely past the warranty period (same as typical lease period)

it will only get worse. the industry is not moving towards making rock solid 10-15 year durability machines

The thing about older cars is that it was a miracle to see one of them hit 100,000 miles
I guess that's usually a rust thing though?

Just buy dependable cars/trucks.
Besides, the biggest problem with cars is depreciation, which 20+ year old cars avoid.
I'm hoping to get atleast a million miles out of my cars no cap.

Toyota Corolla

Toyota Sienna

Are you seeing a pattern here?
