I played D1 football and would never work manual labor. Not only because I'm too smart for menial labor to be a viable career path, but because it's guaranteed to fuck you up more than any other job (except mining I guess).
Why did you never change career paths, or even get promoted to foreman in your entire per-retirement life?

Who says I didn't? I got into sales later and life and did well. But - I worked for a family business of tradesmen from the time I could walk through my 30s and also had injuries. Different nerve diseases set in in my 50s from using my body as a younger man.

You talk a good game, but you just seem like you've coddled your body vs lived and think you're gonna be healthy and mobile your whole life. I emplore you to think what you want, but you're in for a rude awakening when old age hits.

You're not dumb you're just unwise.

I know that feel, having a few stretches to be able to hit triple digit speeds on the way home from work used to be the highlight of my day. Sure, I can hop in my car and go on a top speed run anytime, but it's just not the same without the 'reason' to leave the house.
Even worse since I'm paying insurance on nearly half a dozen cars, some of which haven't had a full tank of fresh gas at all this year since I've driven them so little.

Opposite.
Love driving. Start working at Lyft. Work overnights. Less traffic open roads cops are easier to spot.
Picking up drunkards from the bar
Then hot bitches from the club
Picking up late arrivals from the airport
Get hit on all the time by drunk women
Ending up fucking two as I took their sloppy ass home. They were real thirsty
Occasionally end up in the hood. Took mofos to drug deals
Had my life threatened a few times. Some guy had a knife behind me the whole time and I didn't know
Witness some gnarly accidents at 3:00 in the morning
It was a good time
I sit in my car, played the music alike until the app rings
Go drive them somewhere
Drive back to the city
Watch the sunrise
Make $250 a night. every night
Life was good.

Same here. Also cars becoming ridiculously expensive was another factor in killing my passion for cars. Anything longer than 15 minutes makes me angry and now I wish we had Tokyo tier public transportation. It didn't help that I was a chauffeur for about 2 years so dealing with all that bullshit was my job.

I love driving and automobiles. Too much to soil them with wageslavery shit like commuting. Just now I'm waiting for the nightfall, and like every time, I'll check my tire pressure, oil and coolant color and level, then clean my windshield. By this time it'll be fully nighttime, the roads will be nice and clear, and it'll be time to drive until the first sun rays.

Retarded again. By your analogies it'd be like saying consoles like the PS2 were suited for home accounting and work because you could use the Linux distro that was included. There are "cars" that are made for commuting, they're called buses and you're probably sitting in one.
